Arthur Alexander Poe, Sr., 47, of Wilmington, DE, passed away on Thursday, January 19, 2006 at his residence. He was the son of Nancy Callahan Poe and the late Thomas Ray Poe, Sr.
He was raised and educated in Kennett Square, graduating with the class of 1976 from the Kennett Consolidated Schools. Arthur enjoyed playing pool and chess, along with his passion for cooking.
Arthur was employed as a crane operator for over ten years with the GA& FC Wagner Company.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by four sons, Arthur Poe, Jr., of Newark, DE, Eugene Skylar Poe and Alexander Poe of Tolleson, AZ and Honour Hollis of Chichester, PA; a daughter, Haven Hollis of Chichester; four sisters, Lisa Harmon and Joy Boyd of Newark, DE, Sandra M. Poe of Kennett Square and Jacquline T. Norton of Wilmington, DE; five brothers, Thomas R. Poe, Jr., and Herbert C. Poe of Newark, DE, Daniel W. Poe of Oxford, PA, James E. Poe of Providence, RI, Jerry F. Poe of Avondale, PA; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
